    • Lutein is a carotenoid found in dark leafy green vegetables such as spinach. Carotenoids are concentrated in the macula, the part of the eye responsible for central vision. Studies suggest that lutein plays an essential role in maintaining healthy central vision by protecting against free radical damage and filtering blue light. **
    • Lutein levels in your eye are related to the amount in your diet. Bausch & Lomb PreserVision® Lutein contains 5 mg of lutein per soft gel, which gives you 10 mg of lutein per day. The leading multivitamin contains only a fraction of the amount of lutein used in clinical studies.
