NAICS

is the first industry classification system developed in accordance with a single principle of aggregation, the principle that producing units that use similar production processes should be grouped together in the classification.

The Instituto Nacional de Estadistica, Geografia e Informatica (INEGI) of Mexico, Statistics Canada, and the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB), through its Economic Classification Policy Committee (ECPC), have collaborated on NAICS to make the industrial statistics produced in the three countries comparable.

SIC for Windows provides the U.S. Government's standardized codes used to classify businesses by type of activity in which they are engaged.

These codes are used to facilitate the collection, tabulation, presentation, and analysis of data relating to establishments.

These products do NOT contain establishment (company) names.

NAICS and SIC for Windows contain complete point-and-click NAICS/SIC cross referencing and our built-in search and retrieval software.
SIC requires an IBM PC or compatible computer or network running Windows Me, 98, 95, 2000, NT or XP, with 6.5MB of available free disk space.
Compressed data expands during setup. The compressed downloadable SIC setup file is 461kb and the SIC is 6.5MB.
NAICS requires an IBM PC or compatible computer or network running Windows Me, 98, 95, 2000, NT or XP, with 25MB of available free disk space.
The compressed downloadable NAICS setup file is 6.6MB. Compressed data expands to 25 MB during setup.
