Ritsurin park, Kagawa prefecture
Ritsurin Koen (park) is the largest National Special Scenic Beauty garden in Japan, and one of the most famous and most beautiful historical parks in Japan.
The park is located in the city of Takamatsu, in Kagawa prefecture, and it is considered one of its main attractions. It consists of 6 ponds and 13 hills, beautifully arranged against the pine trees of Mount Shiunzan.
Ritrusin Park contains a great variety of trees and other plants, changing with the seasons, ancient bonsai trees, waterfalls, as well as many stone arrangements that evoke the wonderful style of the early Edo era.
