GEOGRAPHICAL NAMES

Latin America (Spanish: America Latina or Latinoamerica; Portuguese: America Latina; French: Amerique latine) is a region of the Americas where Romance languages (i.e., those derived from Latin) - particularly Spanish and Portuguese, and variably French (and its derivative Creole) - are primarily spoken. It excludes overseas territories of France and Quebec, a province of Canada.

In the following list, French speaking countires are marked with (F), and Portuguese (P). All other countries are primarily Spanish speaking.
