Composition:    Each suppository contains sodium bicarbonate and potassium bitartrate in a special blend of water-soluble polyethylene glycols.

Indications:    For relief of occasional constipation, irregularity or for bowel training programs. CEO-TWO generally produces a bowel movement in 5-30 minutes. The lubrication provided by the emollient base combined with the gentle pressure of the released carbon dioxide slowly distends the rectal ampulla stimulating peristalsis. CEO-TWO does not interfere with normal digestion, is not habit forming, won't cause cramping or irritation or alter the normal peristaltic reflex, and it leaves no residue.

Administration and Dosage:    Adults and children over 12 years of age. Rectal dosage is one suppository containing 0.6 gram of sodium bicarbonate and 0.9 gram potassium bitartrate in a single daily dose. For children under 12 years of age: consult a doctor. For most effective results and ease of insertion, moisten a CEO-TWO suppository by placing it under a warm water tap for 30 seconds or in a cup of water for 10 seconds before insertion. Insert rectally past the largest diameter of the suppository. Patient should retain in the rectum as long as possible (usually about 5-30 minutes).

Warnings:    For rectal use only. Do not use this product if you are on a low salt diet unless directed by a doctor. (172 milligrams of sodium per suppository) Do not lubricate with mineral oil or petrolatum prior to use. Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor. Laxative products should not be used for longer than one week unless directed by a doctor. If you have noticed a sudden change of bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious problem. Discontinue use and consult your doctor.

How Supplied:    In box of 10 individually foil wrapped white opaque suppositories. Keep in cool dry place. DO NOT REFRIGERATE
