Drug Facts:

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

(per 15 ml tablespoon)                            Purpose:

Dextromethorphan HBr
  20 mg.....................................................Cough suppressant

Guaifenesin
  200 mg...................................................Expectorant

USES

• temporarily relieves cough due to the common cold
• helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus

WARNINGS

Do not use

• if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

• a sodium restricted diet
• persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema
• cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

• cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

DIRECTIONS

·use dose cup, teaspoon (tsp), or tablespoon (TBSP)

·do not exceed 6 doses per 24 hours

Under 6 yrs...................................... ask a doctor

6-11 yrs. ....................................1 ½ tsp (7 ½ ml)
                                                         every 4 hours

12 yrs. & older............................ 1 TBSP (15 ml)
                                                        every 4 hours

INACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Alcohol, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid, FD&C blue no. 1, FD&C red no. 40, flavor, high fructose corn syrup, polyethylene oxide, polyoxyl 40 stearate, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate.

HOW SUPPLIED

Available in 4 FL OZ (118 ml) 6 FL OZ (177 ml) and 8 FL OZ (236 ml) plastic bottles. A calibrated dose cup accompanies each bottle.
