Automn colours, Hex river valley, Western Cape province One of South Africa's great scenic treasures, Hex River valley is located on the N1 route - the main link between the Cape Peninsula and the hinterland, 140 kilometers from Cape Town. In the middle of the Hex River Valley, the small town De Doorns is proudly hosting the wine cellar with the longest harvest season in the world, and known to be the area that's the biggest producer of table grapes in South Africa.
