![]() Snoek fishermen, Hout Bay, Western Cape province "Snoek" is the Dutch name for the pike. Hout Bay, from the Dutch for "Wood Bay", is a coastal suburb of Cape Town, with a mix of neighbourhoods from the very rich to the very poor. It is located in a valley on the Atlantic Seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District of Cape Town.
