Table Mountain, Cape Town, Western Cape province, South Africa photo
Table Mountain, Cape Town, Western Cape province

Named after its flat top, Table Mountain is a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town.

Its main feature is a level plateau approximately 3 kilometres from side to side, surrounded by steep cliffs.

It is part of the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP), which encompasses the incredibly scenic Table Mountain Chain stretching from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south and the seas and coastline of the peninsula.
