Orlando Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa photo
Orlando Stadium, Johannesburg

Located in Soweto, Orlando Stadium, was newly rebuilt in 2008 as a training venue for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

On 3 May 2006, a day after the old Orlando Stadium celebrated its 47th anniversary, it was handed over to the contractors for reconstruction.

The new stadium was upgraded to handle the large number of people expected to use it once the stadium is complete, with a capacity of 45,000 spectators.
